HORROR/HUMOR mix: GSC character Marcus lost control of his hand to some strange force in one episode...and while the strip showed some scary stuff, it also utilized sight gags.

The daily newspaper comic strip Ghost Story Club, drawn by Captain Cartoon and written by world-renowned writer Allan Zullo.
Originally conceived as a "teach kids to read" feature, GSC aimed for eight-year-olds and up. Distributed by Tribune Media Services, Inc., (TMS), the horror/humor feature appeared daily and Sundays in newspapers around the world, including the local Sun-Sentinel, New York Daily News, Minneapolist Star-Tribune and others back in 1995-1998. GSC was an actual "club", and thousands of young readers signed up for free memberships, receiving free premiums and a monthly GSC newsletter. GSC also boasted its own interactive website, one of the Web's first. GSC pioneered a number of other "firsts." Keep on reading!
